DUST Science Limited Is Pleased To AnnounceŠ

The DUST Social Club
Electronic Living Made Real.

On the 3rd Friday of every month DUST will be serving up a brand to new
night that is the complete opposite of the accepted normal and oh so average
clubtastic night out in Downtown Sheffield.

Firstly, the night will be complete free (almost). Second, it will be by
private invitation only and third, we¹ll still be playing so of the best
music this side of Detroit. We¹ll be lacing the beats with pure Sheffield
gob and providing the best greedy basslines for the feet. Moving back to the
real values of a night out, great room, good people, cheap drinks, no
meatheads on the door and of course some of the best music in town.

Moving Detroit over brick by brick Dust follows it¹s successful TECHNO
parties with the announcement of a the launch of The DUST Social Club in
it¹s new found monthly residence at The Point, Snigg Hill, Sheffield.

In a city ruined by uptown late bars, dresscodes, hairdo¹s and don¹ts, DUST
is taking a stance and providing those who care with something completely
different, deep dark atmosphere and great party people. Come out, plug in
and stomp. We promise you all the real values of the old school working mans
club, you really don¹t need a 15 million refit to be the market leader, you
just have to be f***ing stupid to believe that people care that your carpet
came from Italy.

Taking clubbing to where it should be without the aid of brand management,
DUST cranks up its anti-corporate stance with a passionate music first
policy. Showing fierce loyalty to the finest grooves of the underground,
DUST is committed to showcasing artists in touch with the original masters.
A glance at the line up below demonstrates Dust¹s ability to align new
talent and ideas with seminal, globally respected DJ¹s. Buzz on the night is
electric and judging by the amount of traffic on the website, a wind of
change is approaching.

Ian Orto
Orto¹s electrifying sets combine the tough UK tribal sound with a soulful
Detroit and European edge. Quick on the decks, citing influences in the
likes of Ben Sims, Richie Hawtin and Jay Denham Ian supplies dance floor
with high quality beat after beat. His unique style recently featured in
International DJ magazine. With a vast arsenal of tricks and a penchant for
FX units Ian will find himself a firm favourite with the serious tech heads
at Dust.

"Ian Orto puts his no-prisoners Euro/loops techno together in a kind of way
that'd wiggle the arse off a donkey"
International DJ Magazine, March 2003

Carl Taylor
Carl has quickly established himself on the UK tech-house scene with 3
strong releases already under his belt. Having won the right to remix a
track for Laurent Garnier's "Greed EP" he has followed this up with tracks
for Bugged Out Records ("Exile/ Space Disco") and with his latest project
Auterform for the Roomtone label. A current Mary Ann Hobbs favourite,
listeners to Radio One's "Breezeblock" will be familiar with Carl's work.
Carl's DJing strongly reflects his high production standards and, like the
tracks, he seamlessly blends his various influences, blurring the boundaries
between techno, electro and house with an eager nod to the Detroit pioneers.
Felix The House Cat as also just dropped one of Carl¹s track on his latest
electro mix album out on React.

DJ Bionika
No one at DUST has ever met Bionika but he plays some of the darkest funky
electro beats we¹ve ever heard, so that why he¹s on.
