It doesn't stop at trains, I've seen bus spotters, coach
spotters and truck spotters.
It has been argued that trainspotters (and that includes
those of the vinyl persuasion) are in fact suffering from
Asperger's Syndrome, a milder form of autism.


Where did you hear that? My 20 year old brother is Asperger's/autistic and he doesn't collect or "spot" anything. I'm not disagreeing with you, I ask because maybe getting him into something like that would help him out a bit; he's a bit lost in life (as autistic people tend to be).
