Yeah thanks to Sakke for finally sorting my decks out! It was indeed a simple matter of anti-skate & weight just being at the right settings - and one of the feet being loose on one deck. I tested it with cueing & spin-backs & the needle just stayed in that groove :O) cheers! G.

With no anti-skate, the cartridge will get natrually pulled towards the center of the record due to the forces involved in a spinning object. Put a blank sided record on, turn off the anti-skate and place the arm down on it (get ready to catch it quickly) - you'll see that it'll fly towards the ce

little tech question. I think I may have tightened it to much to begin with? will the record skip if that is to tight? I tightened it ine whole turn at first, but it skipped bad so I backed it off to about 1/3 of a turn. yeah i messed up my tonearm and had to do the same thing.. basically mine

thanks to everyones help. I think I may have fixed it some what. I tightened the little screw on top of the carriage. it still does it a little but it is bairy noticable now and the record doesn't skip any more. little tech question. I think I may have tightened it to much to begin with? will th
