Dublin's D1 Recordings mark their 21st release with "Passing Through" a new double album by Visitor aka Mark Broom. Mark is known primarily for his futuristic, funky techno releases. His debut album, the critically acclaimed "Angie Is a Shoplifter" appeared in 1996, alongside a wealth of material recorded under a dizzying variety of aliases - Visitor, Midnight Funk Association, Rue East, Repeat, Kape I'll Miester, Sympletic, Ted Howler Rhythm Combo, Kruton and Eco Tourist. Visitor first surfaced in D1's studio in Dublin back in 1996 after mark DJ'd for D1's clubnight "Model One". Mark alongside his recording partner Dave Hill have since released several Visitor 12"s for D1, including the now classic Model Two/ Basement life ep, which recently resurfaced with reworkings by, Decal, Donnacha Costello and Rue East. Dublin has become a second home for Mark where he is due to start a new residency at D1's new clubnight. He continues to record new Visitor material on his regular trips to Dublin. This double album, [released on Double Gatefold Vinyl and CD] promises to become another landmark release in Brooms already illustrious career. Mark's numerous releases vary in style from his harder edged Rue East productions through to his well renowned abstract outings as Midnight funk association. As Visitor, Mark successfully blends both styles to produce what is undoubtedly some of the finest deep melodic techno to come out of Europe in recent years. A 12" single from the album will follow with remixes by Mark under his Rue East guise; it will also feature new unreleased material. The single, "Past Present Future", will be accompanied by a video by Dublin's FUSELAGE. Mark and Dave will be performing live as Visitor for the first time at D1's free live showcase gig during DEAF [Dublin Electronic Arts Festival] in October. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
