Yes, I'm pretty sure it was documented that Ron's Motown collection
was the largest at one point.
Also, Rushton didn't write those liner notes, it was Stuart Cosgrove.
Rushton compiled it, and Derrick "coordinated" it stateside, according
to the credits.

Museum!! It was great , we got the special tour and
everything. I had not been there since I was very
small.
