OT stands for off-topic. Yes, the list is about 313 music and culture, so
313 musicmaking, and 313 musicmaking culture are going to fit in
there somewhere. However, it's off-topic and frowned upon because the
majority of list members are not musicmakers. To these people,
conversations a
OT means off topic. as this is theoretically a music discussion
list, gear discussion, while related, is off topic. 313 has a sister
list, tech-gear, for the discussion of this kind of thing, though not
many use it. go where the traffic is, i guess. i really don't mind
