It's not that I don't believe you, but does anyone know how can a buyer
actually VERIFY that when a label or store boasts a really low number of
copies, that it's
I went and dug it out.

MW 094

Sherard Ingram w/KDJ, 500 copies. Never got the album
but my understanding is this is an extended mix. Hardly
"funky" in the JB or northern soul sense, very inconspicuous
and minimal one that grows and grows on you one of my
faves of his, somewhat surprisingly

actually that was off the Urban Tribe album, but the particular track WAS
produced by KDJ. i don't believe the mix down was done by Carl, but by
Sherard Ingram (though I can check). It was off the 1998 album "The Collapse
of Modern Culture", which is a very underrated gem (i'm sure many on here

That would be D-2000 by Urban Tribe. KDJ participated to the writing of the
track, but it's not his per se.
You can find the track on "The Collapse Of Modern Culture" full length as
well.
Not sure, but I think it was also on one of the Headz comps, or was that
another UT track?
Very good t
Tribute record, can't remember topic, downtempo hous-ish, one-sided, wicked !

Im pretty sure his disco revisited (emotional content?) ep on TP's Intagible
label was the first ep he did under the name Kenny Dixon Jr. unless theres
some obscure releases hes done that didn't see the light of day outside
detroit? That was around 1995..

Very jazzy. It doesn't have the same kick that "Shades of Jae" has. It's
almost a session piece if that makes any sense. It's one sided with one
track. I like it, but I wouldn't list it among his essentials. When I'm in
the mood for Moodyman this isn't one of the records I look for. I wouldn't
call
when will it be availible here in the US?
WHERE is the best place to get all his stuff, I ask this because people are
always talking about how difficult his stuff is to find.

Just to clarify
- I haven't heard the record yet
- I'm reserving my own judgement until that time.
I would also like to point out that this record has not hit any
shelves here at all, due to the fact that it doesn't look like it's hit
any of the distributor's sheets. Why are so many good record
To note further,
I think that maybe this release is suffering from having another kdj release
out that is stealing the spotlight. That's fine, but don't over look this
track. I remeber the same thing seemed to happen when Mills put out Kat Moda
and then Force Universalle. Both are great, but Kat

Wrong. Its good. I guess you could measure it against
dave: the kdj on moods and grooves is a one
sided 2 track 12". the second track is a cut up
of a ten city track (memory escapes me re:
which one, but i posted re: this before) and the
first track is played on show 596 of Andrew Duke's
In The Mix (archive on cognition: http://techno.ca/cognition)
if
if I got lucky or what exactly the story is. The guys at
Gramaphone were oblivious to the situation.

KDJ has a limited 12" on Mike Grant's
Detroit-based Moods and Grooves imprint.
There are two untitled tracks. You've described
the first one, the second one is a disco cut-up
of a Ten City track. I'd give you more specific
info, but the majority of my music is still not
unpacked (ie. still in boxes
