Depending on what state you live in here in the USA, you can get into a GROUP Insurance plan at a low monthly rate. For example, some insurance companies offer a group insurance rate for those who are Self-employed. Well, if you are a musician, producer, DJ, etc., aren't you working for yourself

Sorry this is a little late, but any DJ/producer in the US who is a member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers And Publishers, www.ascap.com) can get healthcare through ASCAP. Most producers are a member of either ASCAP or BMI, this might be reason enough to join ASCAP instead. Rap artists

There is some type of dj collective that provides health insurance to its members. A friend of mine is a member. As I recall, it is a bit like the actors' union, where you are required to perform a certain amount of times per year to qualify or something like that. I will find out more and let you
