Unfortunately you are not alone Prateek. Yes lot of time and resources has
been spend on awareness on Question 9 of the on-going Census this year.
However there are cases where this question was not asked.

My experience was similar. The enumerator came to my house. We sat with him
and I waited till the end. No reference to question 9 in spite of the fact I
was sitting directly across from him. I asked him about it and of course, he
had to fill it out.

we are receiving these kindsof experiences from disabled
sectors who can advocate for themselves. Then, how about people with
severe intellectual and developmental disabilities (e.g., Autism, Down
Syndrome, peter villie syndrome), who can not advocate for
themselves and insist on #9.
