The Online Overnight Programming event

Rules and Regulations for the participants

1.      Each team may register at most two participants per team (ie. Automatically at time of submission of solutions – no prior registration)

2.      Problem Sets shall be released on the 28th January, '06 at 7:00 pm at darkmatterz.glwb.info and innvi.com . All teams must submit their entries at the website or email id by 7:00 AM on the 29th January, '06.

3.      All programs are to be console based and input/output has to be done through filestreams. The input and output filenames used shall be mentioned at the beginning of each problem statement and shall be residing in the directory of the executable under test.

4.      The platforms available for compilation of solutions is

    • C/C++ - MinGW(GCC for Windows), Visual C++ Express 2005, Turbo C++ 3.1.
    • C# - Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 Beta2 using Visual Studio 2005 Beta2 as an IDE.

NOTE: THE PLATFORM AND COMPILER TO BE USED SHOULD BE SAME FOR ALL PROBLEM SETS AND MUST BE MENTIONED ALONGWITH THE ENTRY

 

5.      All entries must contain the following information in the given format about the participants:

6.      The Problem Set consists of two sections A & B. Each of the questions of section A is woth 5 points and those in section B are worth 10 points. In order to be eligible each team must answer at least one question from each group.

7.      Entries must contain the source code and not just the executable binary. These must be packed(if necessary) as one file (in case of Visual Studio Solutions) as zip/rar archives of the solution contains more than 1 file.

8.      Name of the filename should be the serial no of the program (eg. 1.c, 1.cpp, 1.zip, 1.rar).

9.       The Entries can be sent to the email ID [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED] or can be posted on the web at darkmatterz.glwb.info.
