------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Oct 3 07:32:48 +0000 2007 ------- Sometimes user puts into cell something, that is e.q. text output of function, however it looks like number. User changes the cell format to be a "number", however this dosen't change the content that is still text infact. Then user attempts to do some mathematical operation, and it fails because the cell content is text. Could there be some test mechanism? For example, a checkbox in Cell Format tab "check for consistence". If checked, any attemp to do cell format change would call a test, that would display warning, if the user specified cell format dosen't match with the cell content. see issue 70120 for an example of problems connected.. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
