Hi,
i am using alsa which came with Mandrake Linux 8.2 [ I
think 0.5.x version ]. Now when i type,
/etc/init.d/alsa stop it takes a long time to stop
alsa? Say about 4-5 minutes. Any idea why??
It is getting irratating to wait for 6 mins. to reboot
the PC.
Please tell me what to do.

to see what the right channel was really doing. It turns out that the left
channel is completely normal, and the right one is outputting at an
extremely low level, even at 100% it sounds like its half muted. I used

I have built 0.9.0beta12 for RME9652, but when I try to start the
driver I get various messages, but
RME9652 memory allocator: no memory available for card 0 buffer 1
is particularly common. I have had this almost working in the past,
but not I cannot start the driver. Any suggestions?

I'd really like to use Alsa, and I'm not gonna spend time to get it running
on one of my desktops, since
