It is critical at this stage that you have the details correct.
In looking over the above I see that

I just replaced an M-Audio Delta66 with a Delta1010 in my system

However, at 96kHz the noise level on analog capture is very high, about

Has anyone had any success with configuring a Mad Dog Predator soundcard to

Hi,
I downloaded the latest drivers (0.9.7) and installed it as follows:
./configure --with-cards=intel8x0 --with-sequencer= yes

The configuration ran fine and then I did make;make install
Everything seems to go fine except when i do the following:

M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496 and M-Audio Delta 1010LT both worked with
spdif. That is, I tested that 1010LT sent it's analog input(s) to spdif
and 2496 received them. Sound was as clear as the original analog input.
Also captured from spdif (after little modifications to asoundrc)

Hi,
I've this chip in a shuttle SB51G, it's true that's the spdif output is
supported (with Alsa 0.9.6 at least), but the sound is quite awful,
there are lot's of noises, no deep in basses etc etc
I have an old SB Live which has a spdif output, and it works just fine,
though it takes a pci port :

In envy24control the input signal shows up in H/W In 3 & 4, but Audacity
only knows /dev/dsp as input device, which as far as I know is connected
to H/W In 1 & 2.
BTW, line-in recording works u

The same here.
I've been told that the only digital audio chip ALSA supports
for optical output (what about input?) is the C-Media 8738.

Hi,
A while ago I had a couple of problems with my soundcard

due to a small bug in the source code. After this was reported
it was immediately fixed and I was able to play sounds with

Thanks a lot, I would not have thought about enabling the game port
