Hi,
Sorry if this is sent twice, I was moderated the first time.
I am using a CMedia CMI8738 card. I *finally* got the MIC to work thanks
to the ALSA driver cmipci. This took me several days to figure out,
however I am very happy that it works now.
The only problem I found is that that particula

Yes, 0.9.6 release.
I'm not overly concerned about that, though; aumix works fine for now
(although I realize that I will need to fix this eventually). What I'm
most concerned about, is the fa

I don't think anyone is working on it. If you don't already have it, I
would recommend looking for a different interface.

Hello,
I'n trying to setup a vxpocket pcmcia card on a Toshiba SP2100 laptop. I
can't get it to work. I'm running a custom kernel 2.4.20 with pcmcia-cs
support. ALSA driver 0.9.7a, lib, tools, utils 0.9.7.
See my other settings below. I hope someone can give me a hand with this.
I'm clueless. The
Dear all,
I was wondering whether anyone has succesfully used any ALSA driver with
the Audiophile USB interface by M-Audio. If the card is not supported as
of today, I would like to know if anybody is working on that right now
or planning to do so.
thanks

Just 1, and I have been booting up the laptop in the dock,
thus making the driver load while its docked.
snd-ymfpci already registers the gameport, so you don't need ns558,
and it wouldn't be able to grab this port address again anyway.
Okay, that explains that.
So, the gameport module seems to be loaded. Trying to load joydev and
sidewinder works, but the joystick still doesn't work.
It should work,

Got it :-) The control port is 0x210, and alsa sees the chip now.
Thanks to everyone who has helped me in the past few days with this
problem and with my SB Live! Keep up the great work.

You need to be absolutely certain that these parameters are correct.

It is a non-pnp chips... Unfortunately, the alsaconf script was unable to
find any legacy cards. It asked what legacy ISA cards to probe and gave
me the option of cs4236, cs4232, and cs4231. I selected al three, and
told it to try all possible DMA and IRQ combinations.
Should I take this to me

is it an isa pnp chip, or without pnp?
anyway, try alsaconf script in alsa-drivers/utils directory.
