I'm having the exact same problem, but with an Audigy Platinum EX (not
Audigy 2). I can't figure out what's wrong.
If you figure it out, please be sure to let me know. Thanks. (I'll
keep hammering on it. If I find anything, I'll let ya know)

Hi and welcome.
I have a us224 and it's fairly working after some exchange on alsa-devel
list and a couple of specific patches since 1.0.4, which I think are now
available on cvs.
To my knowledge, the us428 is the big brother of us224. IIRC the driver
and userland development has been almost base
Hi ya,
I've had a problem since I change to alsa (currently I use 1.0.3 ) I
can't figure how to record from Audigy 2.
In alsamixer none of the controls seem recordable (pressing space does
nothing, the I'd expect to see on a recordable control is not on
any control).
I also have snd-via
Debian SID, Kernel 2.6.5
Alsa 1.04, OSS-emulation, ice1712 as card0, via82xx as card1
I'd like to record from the dsp devices input from Omni i/o's "HW in
3+4" only which I can hear perfectly. In a previous posting it was
mentioned there has been a discussion on this task before but I couldn't

hi,
i need some help getting the tascam us428 running, hoping anybody has
already managed to do this.
i'm using alsa 1.0.4 on a gentoo system with kernel 2.6.5. i manually
installed alsa-driver 1.0.4 over the original modules from the kernel
tree.
the us428 seems to be recognized by the system,
For the first time since version 1.0.2, I upgraded my alsa-lib version
yesterday. Upon upgrading to 1.0.4, any sound I would send to ALSA would
be laced with this repititious, and intrusive static-like clicking
sound. This sound was not present whenever I'd playback audio via the
JACK daemon. I

No errors from this command means that the driver is loaded and has
found a device.

Strange.
Has the driver allocated some resources for itself in /proc/ioports,
/proc/iomem, /proc

Hi!
I'm still (kernel 2.6.5, alsa current cvs) having this problem with
my SB Live: the ac97-codec module complains about "AC'97 0 does not
respond - RESET", "AC'97 0 access is not valid [0x0], removing mixer.",
and the card is not recognized (error -5). Searching the archives
