Yes. It doesn't.
Thanks. It's nice to finally have a definitive answer.
The card's wiring is not identical to the 1010LT.
It would be possible to add support for this card if we know more about
it.
What kind of information do you need about the c
Hello,
I am thinking of getting a cheap sound card with SPDIF out and a built-in
synth. The SB Live 7.1 and SB Audigy SE have attracted my attention.
How good is ALSA support for these two at present? In particular, is the synth
well supported, effects and all? And can one digitally record the
Hi.
It works!
It was my fault ( of course ;-).
I was using the wrong syntax for the mencoder call.
With this call (and so nothing about my tv-cards within /etc/asound.conf) it
works:
/usr/bin/mencoder tv://E5 -tv
driver=v4l2:device=/dev/v4l/video0:width=640:height=480:chanlist=europe-west:a

ALSA drivers usually don't output anything to the syste

It was true before ALSA 1.0.11. (1.0.11 is not yet
Hi,
is there a way to map the left channel of my soundcard to /dev/dsp0 and
the right to /dev/dsp1 (for example)?
Thanks if anybody can help me with this,

Hi.
I am quiet desperate...
'cause every HOWTO I found so far:
...unfortunatly covers only recording using btaudio / OSS!
...but as I heard that the OSS-sound-drivers (DEPRICATED) will be removed in
one of the next kernel releases, I am trying to use the new snd_bt87x /

Hi all,
I want to run 12 USB C-Media Electronics audio adapters. lsusb
recognizes all 12 but there are only 8 in /proc/asound/cards.
Looking around, it appears that there is a hard limit of 8 built into
the drivers. Is this true? Is there a way to use ALSA with these
adapters and play all 12?
