I am having troubles with mic on my laptop with Fedora 19 i686. Sound is
OK. I tried it in misc applications such as arecord, Skype, Hangout etc.

knowledge not class compliant at all. It is not maintained by Marian any
longer, and only supported up to Windows XP, which as of the end of this
week is not maintained itself.

You don't need this patch; the problem has been fixed in all stable kernels.
