i'm not sure how good the resampling is in alsa -- from my experience, the best upsampling you will get is from mplayer -- its processor-intensive, but its interpolation is good -- have a look at http://dalston.ku24.com/cluster/archives/000130.html for the settings i've used facing a similar pr

Hi I've just built a new box with an epia 5000 motherboard, Fedora Linux FC2, kernel 2.6.6-1.383. This is my first build of a machine with alsa in the kernel, and first FC2 build. The install detected both the VX222 and the onboard sound chip: 2.6.6-1.383 /proc/asound/cards says: 0 [VX222v2

Hi I'm thinking about getting an Echo Mia to use with Mplayer 1.0pre and ALSA 1.0.x on an Epia box running Linux 2.4.something -- according to the project page for Mia drivers, the digital out is currently 'untested' and is the most important feature for me, so I'm wondering if anyone has had any
