r machine. Once they used another
card, all was well. It may have something to do with CPU load needed for
the card, but I don't know.
If you have another sound card handy, I would try that and see what happens.

Firstly, are you talking about the TerraTec DMX 6Fire 24/96? If so, have
you tried to use alsamixer and envy24control to adjust volume settings?
Make sure the Analog Input Select option in alsamixer is set to front
Would this change of code allow S/PDIF to work on the DMX 6Fire 24/96?
