there is any info I could supply to clear this up, please tell me. I
don't really know where to look for it.

OK, just tried this and it didn't work. While I can target all the
channels I see in envy24control individually with this kind of setup, I
still can't play to them at the same time, I get a "device or resource
busy" message. D
I don't understand what it
means ...
I even tried using envy24control to route the spdif-input to the
"digital mixer" and record using alsa, default, but that gives me a
silent file.
Does anyone have any hints on how to record from the optical input?

oking for any 3D-sound stuff, just for a high-quality card that
is still kinda cheap and has digital in/out ...

nce that I shouldn't be able to give
./configure --disable-musicbrainz
for freeamp, since I don't even want to do any CD-Name lookups .. but
apparently this is not possible ...
gonna write some email to the freeamp-ppl about this, I guess.

uldn't be using 0.5.x anymore ...
does anyone know whether native alsa code is to be expected for mpg123
at any time again? (using the dev-version right now, because, contrary
to the stable version, it is at least vbr-aware ... and no, using stable
or dev of mpg123 doesn't change the abo
d and no other sound-app can use it ..
so far the only solution to get sound back, is rebooting ...
I can't believe there isn't any other way?
