Hi
Ops sorry, forget about it. I didn't see the thread about this issue in
the archive. I will try the tips from the FAQ.
I have /var/amavis/db/; BerkeleyDB 0.31, libdb 4.3 and sorry.

Thomas

Hi
It works fine on several Freebsd 5.x i386 machines. sa-compile works
too. No problem so far after a few million scans. Thank you. I will try
your updated version for amd64 at the end of this week.

This could help me with an issue which showed off when I recently
enabled SMTP AUTH over my Postfix 2.2 for my users to send mail from
outside our LAN. Everytime some user sends mail through the server, it
gets tagged with SPF_FAIL by SA. If I could remove the Received:

how is it possible, to add the subject_tag to spam-mail, which is to be

Hi all
I want to simply bypass Spam scanning for the local address
'[EMAIL PROTECTED]'. I tried different ways (see below), but without any
luck.
I use Debian Etch with official packages (Amavis 2.4.2) and wrote
everything in the conf.d/50-user file.
Thanks in advance, Yves

I have a SLES10 mail server with postfix 2.2 and amavisd-new 2.4. When
trying to start amavis I get the following message
Starting virus-scanner (amavisd-new):ERROR: MISSING REQUIRED BASIC MODULES:
Compress::Zlib
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/sbin/amavisd line 148.

Sender notification = delivery status notification = bounce.
It is controlled by $final_*_destiny (D_BOUNCE vs. D_DISCARD).
Furthermore, bounces are often suppressed:
- for viruses when virus name matches @viruses_that

hi matthias,
header_checks allows you re-write, remove, do just about anything using
perl regex, but given that your using sendmail, that doesn't help much.
it's been a while since i last read the bat book -- i just looked at my
old trusty v8.8 edition, and it says that headers cannot be removed

Right. Although it is not unusual to have a restrictive umask

Hello Charles,
Thanks for your answer, but i am using dual-sendmail.
Having a quick look into a postfix book, header_checks seem to block the
whole mail. I do not want to block the mail, just remove some stupid
headers.

Hello,
amavisd-new already can remove some headers (X-Spam... X-Virus).
It would be nice, if it is possible to remove some more headers
(configurable which ones).
Why do i want to do this: Some stupid notes servers add many (> 60)
X-Notes-Item headers. These mails are later blocked by some mai
A quick follow up, if I use the same config and setup with 2.5.0 it
works. So it has to be something in 2.5.1 that has changed, but I can't
figure out what. Any ideas?
Thanks all.

Martin
