I listed to turksat for the first couple of days in orbit,the becon was weak
for the first day,there were reports that the transponder had been heard also
weak,i did not hear it, I did try and put a signal through it while the becon
was on but nothing heard...the becon lasted a few days and got

New keps- hi Bob im using instrack on the base computer here at home so its
easy to mod keps,but dont get excited Turksat becon isnt that stong,and the
foot print is about ao51 or a bit less,so it wont be even a fo29 ,shame i
was hoping for abetter foot print,still will wait and see what com

Tomorrow wednesday,ill be driving to Peterhead Aberdeenshire,on the N.E coast
corner of Scotland, grid sq IO97CM which is a rare grid to be hadfo29 and
ao7 ,please make the qso as quick as poss as there may be lots of interested

Joe,GSM is best mobile ,vodaphone or o2 will be the best,even in fringe
locations,all network coverage is good in towns etc.any network.
ctcss or 1750 tone will open all repeaters except dig.ham radio.

for the second part of the 2weeks ill be on the eastern side of scotland from
my normal location,hills will play a big part in the first part of this
opperation especially the first week on the island,so no west coast

Telford (uk) amature radio show,by RSGB president Dave Wilson (M00BW)
Paul was nominated by amsat uk for his work promoting and encouraging the use

time ,in fact ive stopped using the bird,as the passes just are not worth
looking at,id like very much to work the states {central} more from the uk,but

To night at abt 9.17 gmt on AO7 , mode B Bob W7LRD and myself confirmed
working each other ,exchanged reports etc and was very workable below 0.3 deg !
althrough not a record cn87 to io92bx works out to be 7504.52 km distance but
