I've seen this before, and it is related to how you have designed your
Crystal Report.
With Crystal Report Designer open and your editing your Crystal report, go

Hello,
I am planning on installing ITSM 7.6.04 using VMWare/Windows/MSSQL. Since SQL
2012 is fairly new I wanted to check if there are any known problems with this
version of the database. Do you recommend going with SQL 2012 or 2008 R2?
Thanks for your suggestions.

SLA's with clients are based on minor / major release levels - more time to
upgrade to major releases from GA. When BMC changes it from 7.6.03 to 7.6.04
the client 9at least mine) wants to know why it's going to take so much effort
to upgrade when the version number reflects only an 'incidental

The login you should be using is a Remedy user (ie, a user defined in the

Seems to be an issue with how you have set up your dynamic parameter. If you
cannot run it from Crystal, then I would check that. At the very least you
should be able to run it from Crystal. What parameter are you using and how?

I have tried this long time ago and gave up on it.
It appears that dynamic parameters in Crystal are simply not compatible with
Remedy ODBC.
In my case, I ended up loading the parameters as a static list and then
refreshing the list in the report on a regular basis (this might be an option

I have added the report to Report form. I am able to run other reports
that do not involve dynamic parameters. However, when I run the report
that has a dynamic parameter, it does not run either from Crystal or from

How are you running the report? If through Crystal then try running it with the
same credentials(I presume you have tried that), if through Remedy, then
depends. Did you add it to the current reports?
Normally that happens when it cannot connect to the database properly. Check to

On a old computer, I've managed to upgrade to 7.6.04 tools and now everything
is ok. The difference is in OS. The old commuter has an XP SP3, while the new

Mike,
I already changed that parameter on both servers, but it doesn't affect
the URL generated for notifications (I didn't restart the system though,
because changing the default web path doesn't require a restart either).

Check out BMC Remedy Action Request System 7.6.04 Configuration Guide, page
