It could also be an unicode issue. Depending how is codified,
the length in bytes could be different that the number of characters.

Not sure, but I don't think it would recreate indexes. Index recreation is
a hard task and it would be inefficient.
But at soon you modify an index, or create a new one, then your DBA will
have to act on them.

things like carriage returns and such.
If I remember correctly you are using Oracle. To get a correct count in SQL

From your user tool klick Tools -> Options and select the Logging tab.

(e.g. T120) though Golden Gate and some records are being rejected because the
incoming data exceeds the expected field/colmn size.

getting the vm correct before you clone it.
So, we utilise the local hosts file and call the system ars01. So when you
install AR Server, you always call it that and it can resolve to itself.

Unless you are constantly creating new forms and indexes, once you move an
index or LOB you shouldn't have to move it again.

We're looking at splitting our indexes and LOBs into a seperate tablespace,
however manually build of an ardb.conf would be very time consuming. We've
been looking at ways to also do this without using an ardb.conf fil
I am used to flushing it when I did workflow changes just not data changes.

tier, won't they be using cached workflow and form defs? This would then
enable the web services to still write data to the DB. Any new filters
would probably kick in as they were imported.
