the beach due to safety concerns, this came from the fireworks people
I don't know who pays for it, I'm assuming MM, but last years show was 3x's as

Not quite. My street was out of control right after the fireworks. People were
driving like complete assholes. But you are right, that's not the PD's fault.
And I love your Vespa.

Had I chose to buy the pass, it would have been useless for most of the
weekend, unless I just parked and not used my car at all. All the spaces were
full for most of Sat. and Monday. The biggest fail here is to not designate
some spaces as resident parking only.

Yeah, you have lot's of housing units on your block, but mine only has 3, not
including the apt. down the street which has it's own lot.
Of the 3 housing units on my block, one is only occupied in the summer, and the
owner of the other doesn't drive, so he doesn't own a car.
That leaves me and my
Parking on 2nd has always been difficult. Since the meters have been in
effect, I have a much easier time getting a spot. To me, it's well work the $30
for the permit. I'm hoping the parking is for 12 months (which was told to me
by someone on the parking committee) for this convenience.

Interesting. Any thoughts on this if that's the case?

I would think that's the case, but unless I missed it it's not mentioned
anywhere on the website. I sent them an email for more info.

I was under the impression paid parking ended in Sept?
I mean we are light years away from being "visited" year round. Makes no sense
to charge just your residents in the off season..but then again this is AP

Should I send all my gripes and complaints about the APPD to you moving

I almost got drilled by a police car on Ocean Ave the other because he was

There must be a nest close by. The sparrows living in one of our birdhouses
divebomb me when I'm on my porch
We also have two bluejays who seem to be protecting a nest near my house, we
watched them dive at a cat the other day
I'm not sure if I've just never noticed, or there is an increase in
I kinda like the Mockingbirds. There's actually at least two of them. They dive

I wish AP would give the option for NON RESIDENTS to buy a "season" parking
pass.
LONG BRANCH The city is embarking on the experimental use of parking meters
at the beachfront to gather data for a program that could one day generate much
needed city revenue but could also potentially alienate residents visitors and
business owners.
The experimental 90-day program is to tak

Not true, cops had portions of ocean closed so not just a single avenue was
loaded up, although Asbury again was. Luckily I was on Vespa.
