"statistics are like a whore" Jim, I suggest our recent desire for political correctness threatens our collective sense of humor. This string reminds me of Dorothy Parker's quote when asked to use horticulture in a sentence. "You can lead a whore to culture, but you can't make her think."

Whew...after reading dfs' original posting I had the sudden urge to go home & beat my wife. Thank goodness Jim intervened & cooler heads prevailed before I got my ass whupped by a 3rd degree black belt. and I'm no educator, but I believe the correct phrase in the subject should be An INAPPROP

I respect your opinion, but I don't think I was implying violence against women. To your way then I guess one could not say another was "acting like a whore" either? I don't mean any disrespect but, I also don't know why you feel it is your place to provide teaching moments. If I offended any
