Mario,
I thought I was good at research, but you've beaten me, hands down!
Credentials Watch is a real eye opener. Can't remember, but someone
at Harvard, I think was found out to have not completed her studies?
The Dean of Admissions, I think it was or Yale, but anyway, I couldn't
help but wonder, how she got past a background report! I'll bet they
weren't checking them, in some instances.

I know people, who for all intents and purposes, dress, as though they
were in academia, have that "tweedy" look, so prevalent amongst the
collegiate set, but ALL of the professors, I've been involved with
DON'T dress this way, now that I recollect. I only had one associate
professor, during an advanced Business course, who had graduated from
William and Mary, which was ALL she talked about, took a fancy to me,
because I worked at AT&T, while her husband worked for the
competition, ITT and I wound up transferring OUT of her class, because
I didn't want to deal with the scrutiny she would put me through. I
wound up seeing the Dean to plead my case out of her class, after I
told her, what I thought of her!

SHE dressed like she was in some other era, like the late 40's through
the late 50's, saw herself as some Southern Belle leftover and
monopolized the class with her memorabilia of her life. Whatever!
Just seems that there's a lot of "fakery" going around, like fake
reporters at white house briefings, "planted" in with the regular
bone-headed journalists.

Fake doctors, are being caught in the NYC area, doing surgery, that
they aren't qualified for. I always look at the diplomas,
certificates and citations, awarded to the doctors and specialists I
see, to make sure they're who they say they are. Most of the
physicians I see, have graduated from Columbia and Newark, have done
their residencies in various hospitals, either here or NYC. My doctor
has more patients than he can handle, from "word of mouth" and has had
to hire other physicians to take his overload!

Working as a "fake" anything, jeopardizes the public's right to be
cared for or administrated to, in a legal, as well as professional
manner. Does anyone know the penalty for pretending to be a person
who is lettered? By that, I mean, BA, PhD and all the lettering
behind architects, surveyors, cinematography, MD's, CPA's and
professions, requiring exams, in order to legally present yourself, as
a professional.

There are educators and law degreed individuals, in this group, who I
can certifiably say are the "real" thing! You and Frank are/were
teachers and Tommy and I think Dan are lawyers, well, I know Tommy is.
Where do some people get off "faking" their professions?
