How are their test scores compared to the rest. 

That is why  to continue what you have done/are doing with the kids 
is to keep them from going to AP HIGH until the problems are fixed.

Now from all the talk about sending district(bleamr, etc) kids out, 
an ap resident should be able to use the same loophole, if one wanted 
to?

So if you have a talented 8th grader who likes art, math/finance or 
music, then they should begin to review the choices- for exmaple RBR.

I know about, because in the beginning of the year, I was going to 
pull my kid out of OT. 

It also depends on what a kid puts into it.
