The parts of NYC that I've always loved, like the Meat Packing district and
it's unique
quality are so rapidly disappearing that it makes me sad.
Same goes for D.U.M.B.O in Brooklyn.
Both locations are/were gritty and to some casual observers downtrodden, but
not to me.
