Yes, but there are other social affilliations that cause some to cast 
a vote with a blind eye. I will say no more.

A real loss. Should be city manager or Mayor with real power.

Not to pick at old wounds, but this is the key to the fact that the 
City actually violated state statute in adopting the WRP. It is not a 
valid plan because they did not address ALL of the planning board 
suggestions. They can refuse whatever suggestions they like as long 
as they provide an explanation. In reality, they adopted many, but 
that was in the plan (June) that was disavowed because of the ruckus 
I brought up that that plan did not allow C-8 to be rebuilt to the 
same height if it were demolished.

I agree. But there are many forces out there that do not like what he 
says and even now are suggesting that he step down. I assume that 
there will be powerful organizing against him in the next election.

I think it is more important to have someone who is honest, 
intelligent and open-minded in office rather than that you agree with 
all of their views.

Ben was really soured by the loss and I think he moved out of town. A 
real good guy.
