God no, homophobia is annoying to me. One of the biggest turn offs
around. Mainly because I can't tolerate any neurosis around sex. But
just because your gay, doesn't mean you deserve to be on a board. Or
that you are intelligent. And the behavior I have witnessed has been
silly. Gay people can act like idiots too. And I have been
disappointed in the gay community here, mainly because I made a wrong
assumption that people living an alternative lifestyle understand the
abuse of power that occurs in our world.
He has behaved like an idiot gay or not. I would give anything to
have filmed his ridiculous questioning surrounding "perfect math" it
was a hoot....and I would also have loved to have on film his giddy
and fawning questioning of our hot chief cop. Maybe I shouldn't have
used the work queen, but...
I am a straight never married 40 yo woman. I don't fit in middletown
either. I moved here because besides having romantic childhood
memories of walking over from my grandparent's tent, i love diversity.
I love seeing men make out, masculine looking women and hookers. I
dig life in all its colors, beauty and darkness. What I have a hard
time tolerating is superficiality, liars and people who don't get that
politics is supposed to be about service, not self.
I have had a hard time understanding the gay community's hatred of the
poor. They seem racist to me as well. Generally..well the SUFA folk
anyway. Then a gay women let me know about a movement called "gay
shame". Google it. It gave me hope.
The phenomenon of the oppressed becoming oppressors has been
documented by Paulo Friere. In last weeks Economist, there was a
study that revealed that the country with the most people who felt
that "some degree of torture permissible" is Israel. Kooky world!
How do you think Springsteen would feel about the Mission?
