Hi, Steve. I'd like to be frank with you, and hope you don't
misunderstand. I learned a long time ago that sometimes it can be a
huge waste of time trying to change people's mindset... While it's a
positive and patriotic thing to voice one's opinions, it can become
counter productive to one's mission if the articulation becomes all
consuming. It appears you, and others, are embroiled in counter-
productive activities. I'd like to see it stop... or moved to another
board.

I know you are an advocate for the poor, homeless, and other at-risk
citizens of Asbury Park. I know your non profit organization has
lofty/noble goals, and you are struggling to keep it afloat.

Frankly, I think you could be spending more time seeking grants and
assembling a staff than responding to every attack (real or perceived)
from the readership of this board. If there is a hidden agenda here,
you seem to be playing right into their hands.... your public 'rants'
as they've been coined, are detracting from your cause, and, in my
opinion, jeopardize your organization's continued 501c3 tax exempt
status.

Irrespective of your personal beliefs, "truths" as you call
them... you have an implied responsibility to the 501c3 NOT
to promote the discrimination of other (groups).

I was more then a little put off by your "truthiness" when describing
Jews' involvement in the Asbury Park and Lakewood redevelopment, and
when describing Solomon Dwek's land grabbing activities as a front
for an insidious agenda....

As far as 'creds' I've been working with disenfranchised and at-risk
citizens of Asbury Park (Whites, Blacks, and Hispanics of all
religions) for more than two decades..... Systemically, I am both real
estate and politically literate. My wife has become involved by
volunteering 20 hours per week during tax season for the tax clinics
for a few years, too, and I've gained vicariously from her experiences,
too.

The scenario you've painted in Asbury Park... opportunity, investment,
exploitation, gentrification, etc. are elements of capitalism whether
practiced by Jews, Catholics, (etc.) Blacks, Whites, Hispanics, Asians,
Arabs, Eskimos, etc.

Labeling what's happening in Asbury as a Jewish takeover, or an anti-
black agenda is short-sighted. Though it may be an apparent 'truth' to
you... I see a bigger picture. It's more the haves vs. the have nots.

Steve, et al, let's move on to better things, OK?

Dave Petrovich
