Your quite right, I always explain this very carefully. The more lines
they have however the easier it is to justify using a PBX style system. I
have a power point presentation to train the staff on the differences. For
really busy companies the receptionist is usually glad to blind transfer
or do

Hi all, I have the opportunity to propose an Asterisk system for 8 PSTN

My main competitor will be Bell Canada. Does anybody have any experience

Just wondering... Who pays for the Internet Loop? At 13.10 per trunk
is 2 x more than TDM unless it include bandwidth too
For example on GBX, I paid 161.00 per T1 x 3 = 483.00 - Using 13.10 x
72 = $943
The rate is a bit better, but saving is lost in trunk charges.

Hi:
Hi, Anyone with experience connecting Asterisk to Swyx, please contact
me off-list.
I have a customer in the UK desperate to get this trunk to work, and
their Swyx's local reseller support indeed sucks!
Please come back to me off list.
Thanks,

Nope, the recent announcement is unlimited forever (well until they
change the plan).

Al does not have the latest information. Skype is ending free SkypeOut in the
USA on 12/31. After that it will be $15/year if you sign up before 1/31, and
$30/year thereafter.

Skype out is their call termination. That is calling pstn from Skype.
I think SkypeOut in only unlimited till the end of the year.
Unless Skype changed that.

Does one pay for inbound minutes? If not, $66 for a year... that's
$5.50/month for unlimited voice service. I understand there are different
business models, different this and different that. However, the consumer
doesn't care about business models. $5.50 is a whole lot cheaper than my $30
For one I believe it is unlimited SkypeOut. If you want SkypeIn, you
will need to purchase a DID @ $2.99/per month. When you add that into
the mix, it is not really that great of a deal for the typical
residential users.

I don't use Skype, nor do I intend to. However, does anyone know of any
gotchas in addition to general Skype behavior of the new $30 annual unlimited
plan? How can a $25 or $30 a month unlimited plan compete with that?
