I would guess that the MAC address of an Ethernet adaptor is used as a
seed for a pseudorandom number generation algorithm that is used to
create a GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) for your DUNDI node.
But that requires an Ethernet adaptor.

the + but it's blank.
