[SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Sonic Impact Super-T amp with SB - speaker choice?

2006-04-02 Thread Willie B
What do people think of the little sonic impact super-T amp? It has had some great reviews and is very inexpensive (£120 approx i UK)? I am thinking of hooking one up to a modified SB but would welcome advice on speaker choice given the relatively low power of the amp. Off to work soon but will

The dac isn't the bottleneck there. I would go for the analog output stage and rca connections first. And that's from absolute inexperience. I suppose if you're good with a soldering iron... -- Skunk Skunk's Profile: htt

2006-04-02 Thread colglfr
I had interference problems on the AM Band. I contacted SlimDevices and they sent me a different power supply than came with the standard device. This has the power converter in the middle of the circuit. I hope this helps -- colglfr --

[SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Squeezebox internal DAC Upgrade

2006-04-02 Thread Funkmaster
If just the DAC on the squeezebox were upgraded to the Burr Brown 1748KE, what would the benefits be? Or are there other modifications that should go along with it? Also would an upgraded DAC benefit both the analog and digital outputs? Sorry for all the questions. It just seems that with the
