I am in audiophile heaven! I purchased the PS Audio DAC III. Right now
it is being feed by a Sony DVP-NS9100ES for Redbook. I will use a
Squeezbox in the future to feed it lossless. I am running balanced
outputs to my Classe integrated. My speakers are Infinity Intermezzo
active monitors and

forgiving amp. I heard Cadence VA1 20w and the soundstage was way back
and also the tone thick (heard them on Cadence Avita)
Yes the Krell is forward enough. I need a forgiving and a warm amp. I
have heard the Vincent monoblock
The day I received the SB I knew there was no going back. It's changed
my listening habits entirely, and expanded my musical sense. This
device in particular is easy to use, is customizeable, very attractive,
is completely reliable, and worthwhile even if 90% of all music stations
were shut down
The actual guts that do the work are often found in more expensive units
...its the ancillaries that they have cut the cost on.
replacing the cheap and nasty caps ..beefing up the case etc just shows
what these bargain basement units can do.

Many people use the DEQ2496 in conjunction with the SRC2496 with great
results. I know a lot of folks have mixed feelings about Behringer.
But from what I've seen here and elsewhere, the DEQ and SRC both seemed
to have passed reasonable muster with a lot of people who consider
themselves "audiop

Both units have tape in/outs with volume controls so my suggestion of
using the tape loops will work.
This is the method I use to X-connect my main system
(Bryston/Rotel/energy) with the wifes secondary system (NAD/PSB).
