I found this plot of showing the uncorrected/corrected phase response
from someone using DRC. Does anyone know how to plot this from the
Impulse_Response_Measured.wav & Impulse_Response_Filtered.wav files
that Inguz produces? I have plotted before/after freq response using
REQW, but don't see an
Try transcoding to wave format on the server. This offloads the

Come on guys..dont be too trigger happy. When you buy an amplifier or CD
player for say, $1k, $5k or $10K (or sometimes $25k), how much do you
think gets spent on the power supply ? It is very proportional to other
aspects of the product (like output stage, drive/sled mechanism etc). So
I dont see

I've found the SB3 analog output to be almost as good as that from the

I know the results "should" be the same. I was asking if that's what
fred7 actually found.

After sorting out some RFI issues, i went back from optical to coax. I
do not know why, but I prefer the sound - in a/b tests it sounds the
same but after a few hours i'm sure I get less 'fatigue' - could all by
psychological of course!

No - it was a joke!

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal...

Veering recklessly back on topic, I recommend gdg read the Application
Note AN1695/D from ONSemi, "Handling EMI in Switch Mode Power Supply
Design." Last time I looked I could not find it on the ONSemi site
(http://onsemi.com), so you may need Google to help you find it.

Hmm? All you need is "flac -5 [input file]"!
Did I miss something?

Ah yes but clearly you underestimate the capability of a "subroutine"
to undermine the quality of the calling program!

Since they are both calling the same external encoder, the results
should be the same provided neither one had a ripping error.

What did you find in your comparison of
I enjoyed sound quality from analog output of SB3 to my integrated
amplifier so far.
I am thinking to add in external DAC later, i.e. Benchmark DAC1, what's
your advise?
