Sean, methinks you can afford to buy new cabinets . In fact, you
should've been at RMAF (Rocky Mountain
You are comparing a music streamer (Transporter) that has minimial
receiver-like functions with an AV receiver (Denon) that happens to
have some minimal music-streamer-like functions. It's not a meaningful
"either/or" comparison.
I would suggest getting the right receiver for your needs, ignoring
It'd help if you were more specific about what Denon gear you're talking
about.

Please help me out here. I just paid $1800 for a Transporter and Denon
has two machines for under $2,500 that do more. I'm new to this stuff
and I'm upgrading everything. I added Tetra speakers this summer and
trying to continue upgrading but this one throws me. I love Logitech
products and have b

Hay Zanash, did you glue the mdf/rubber/grannet together or just rest
them on top of each other, and did you help weight down your SB in any
way or just clamp the rear, Oh, and have you tried your platform under
the psu ?
OP ! if you have a linear/separate psu try the sorbothane under there
too.
Yes, I have used the passive out for quite some time. Just a second
order filter after the AKM dac's. I have also new clock and new PSU for
the dac's. These tweak's makes the behringer a very nice unit. Next up
is to replace the sample rate converter (CS8420) with a better one. The

My Modwright Transporter's DAC was indeed overdriving the tube stage.
Dan fixed the design gaff in my player (he had been listening and
voicing with digital volume down somewhat, accidentally, and didn't
realize a couple of output measurements were off, relative to DAC
output) and has overnighted

Not exactly. I love it as my digital preamp with 2 displays and
wonderful DAC :)
You build that receiver from Jocko Homo yourself?

Thanks Wombat
That's why people prefer the Transporter. I have transformer coupled my
SB. And also added some padding resistors. Makes a nice difference.
Combined with the SPDIF reciever from Jocko Homo it's a nice combo. No
need for Transporter then.

I've used posidrives for some shelves. Which axis should I align? Does
anyone stock polarised versions?

So, if used with an extrenal DAC, you should not gain much in the
digital transmission (and thereby in sound quality)?

I've heard the TACT system and own a Behringer. I feel that both have
negative impact on the signal, despite processing only a digital
signal.
I'd assume that Inguz is less intrusive, but has anyone compared the
sound with it in and out of use?

For RealAudio stations you will still need a PC/NAS to run AlienBBC and
transcode them.
