If you get a chance, you should audition the Wilson Benesch Square Ones

I had a chance to hear them recently - very nice. They also are very
compact, if space is an issue - and look very nice in the piano black

I have a friend who has a pair of 805 signature and I had a chance to
listen to them with several amps, the best results he got was with
Electrocompaniet. For having listened to the 805 + Classe, franckly
speaking I didn't like it, seems that the B&W + Classe match is more a
marketing combination
Everything is a factor.. IMHO all microscopic compared to good speakers,
speaker placement, and room acoustics. Things like major impedance
mismatches can be a huge problem, but I've never seen those types of
problems myself.

My main system is balanced XLR all the way from Transporter to Amplifier
Mono Blocks including the M5-HP crossovers for the Vandersteens.
I know one thing, it can't hurt anything. At a minimum it would be the
same as the unbalanced RCAs, but my opinion is it is almost always
better. IMHO, go bala

Some people say yes, some no. It wouldn't hurt, as it would eliminate
one possible source of noise in the

I do like the B&W 805s, and they would be my first choice for my desktop
update if I weren't willing to go for the Dynaudio C1s. I also run
N804s in my HT. Personally I like B&W with Rotel on the cheaper side,
or Musical Fidelity, McIntosh, or Classe on the higher end. You can

Do not order from welborne. It is likely you will not get what you
ordered. At best it may be missing parts.
I did get one, some how, and it hums badly. Also it did not improve
the sound.

You have some fantastic choices under for under $1000.00.
In no particular order, here are a few very well regarded tubed pre's,
especially for their price.
Mapletree Audio sells "built to order"
I've been wondering if this would happen. It's brilliant, really, and
I'd go for it immediately.

I'm also a big 805 fan. I think it is one of the best monitor speakers.
The 805 is even better then it's more expensive brothers IMO (the 804
and 803). However recently I've heard the Dynaudio Contour S1.4 monitor
and i'm even more impressed. I asked my dealer to make a setup with both
