I have my transporter feeding directly into my Simaudio Moon i-5. The
DAC compares favorably to my Simaudio Moon Nova, so I haven't felt any
need to add a seperate DAC. Speakers are Totem Arros.
Inputs are:

Thanks, Mark.
Hmm...well it sounds good to me with my SB3's so they must have done a
good job. After all of these horror stories about digital attenuation
I guess I expected less-than-stellar results.
Thanks again.

All volume adjustment in the SB3 or Transporter is digital. There is no

If the volume adjustment under 'settings' is set to 'disabled' (or
whatever the menu calls it) and one is using their SB3 or Transporter

I've heard a lot of talk about the native power supply architecture for
the filter/DAC stages of the SB3, usually as an argument against an
improved outboard supply.
But what is the native power supply design for the OUTPUT stage of the
SB3? This is where the PS matters the most. I'm very curio

Surely the test of any "improvements" to any piece of equipment is if it
plays music well to produce a more enjoyable sound.
This assumes the modifications meet a basic measurable standard.
If the above were not true then nobody would buy any valve gear.
I believe that empirical work is very im
