Do answer your question directly, it's nothing to do with the hard drive or the ethernet cable. It could be the rips, it could (maybe) be the SB3's output, it could be something silly like bandwidth limiting or replay gain being enabled. -- radish ---

A beta firmware update for proper 88.2 KHz support, along with other fixes, is coming very soon. Yes, right now 88.2 plays like crap. I've also made some significant optimizations that prevent us from becoming CPU-bound when playing 24/96 FLAC with the spectrum analyzer enabled. -- seanadams -
