Hook, line, and sinker ;-)
If nothing else it would help with the inexpensive issue Pat mentioned.

I noticed a big difference through my Rotel's DAC. The soundstage was
much more robust than through the internal DAC on the Duet. Even
though i'm still in learning mode, and still using Apple Lossless, I'm
trilled with the sound quality. Are there any advaned settings that I
need to be aware of

Question if the SqueezeBoom is now the boombox for the 21st Century does
that mean that the vacuum fluorescent display is now the flashing lights
and the built in DSP is now the graphic equalizer?

At least it's active/biamped.
Looks a bit 90's Sony though.

No, but for the discriminating listener I'll be performing audiophile
modifications to the unit including:
*Replacement of wall wart with much heavier linear supply.
*Addition of silver speaker wires internally.
*Coating of C-41 lacquer on woofers.
*Removal of metal speaker grills. (not recommend
Though it may sound good for a "boom box", I can't see using the word
audiophile in the same sentence as "boom box". :)

It sounds pretty good for a boombox.
Or is it too inexpensive?

On my setup there's an obvious difference between lossless and lossy
music. These differences don't come so much from the -inevitable-
artifacts : they come from the absence of some signal information. The
difference is not the same depending on the codec used, but there's
always an easy-to-distin

Actually, the power drawn by high or low impedance headphones is
probably pretty much the same But you get there from different
directions. At the risk of using an equation:
Power = voltage x current
High impedance headphones will require a higher voltage, but lower
current than a low imped
