The hiss is most likely from the SB analogue outs - to test, select
another source on the pre and see is the hiss stays - if so, then it is
the pre itself. Or, disconnect the power to the sb - if hiss goes it is
the SB.
The hum is most likely to be induced 50hz mains hum from the cable to
your pow
most decently-built solidstate amps usually has no hiss at listening
volume. some better ones even when volume maxxed out exhibit no hiss.
whatever the case hum should never be present at all in any volume.
there are many causes of hum, from the imperfectly-filtered power
supply unit leaking into

I understand it is quite normal to have a slight noise from your
speakers when nothing is playing - please correct me if I'm wrong.
When I have my ear next to the 6.5" drivers there is a slight humm,
next to the tweeters there is a hiss.
I have a pre amp processor that has the coax input

I suspect it is caused by missing samples at the end of the file.
They play fine in most players but click/pop/crack when played by the
