Perhaps the results will be somewhat DAC-dependent. I was looking at
the Stereophile review of the DAC I'm using and the measured jitter is
substantially lower via the Toslink input Vs S/PDIF.

Is it because Toslink uses light instead of electricity as its medium
and is therefore subject to less interference?
Should I go back to my cave?

The sound through the Toslink connection is far more "relaxed" sounding.
If you could imagine flipping a switch and having the odd-order
distortion cut in half, that's the difference I perceive. YMMV.

Now I know why I was so glad to get out of vinyl... :-)
Didn't hear much rock or full orchestral going on there. Female vocal,
small scale jazz, light strings... hmmm.
Liked the big Tannoys though - the only thing I'd buy in the whole
video.

It was ~$30 in 2007 (he can't legally "sell" it because of licensing
issues re the background music in some segments). IMHO, whether you're
an "audiophile" or not, it's well worth it. After my wife saw it, she
stopped complaining about -my- moderate (by comparison) infatuation with
audio!

Yes please---merge my two posts. I have no idea how to delete one or
merge the two.
Sorry for the cross post. Didn't know where to post my question.

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal...
SB3 (wired) - TACT 2.2X (Linear PSU) + Good Vibrations S/W - MF
Triplethreat(Audiocom full mods) - Linn 51
