the two areas that are most noticeable are ambience and "aliveness".
When streaming PCM the music is more at home in its acoustical

DIY Vreg and now a SuperTeddyReg in the receiver. Both were better than
stock but quantifying the improvement by ear is impossible (for me, at
least). I envy you your HP analyzer.
