In my own covered outdoor environments, I've found that the Boom works
very nicely. I abandoned my wiring projects altogether once I had my
first Boom.
Stereo issues won't arise, since the Boom's speakers are conjoined
twins, and stereo is only really produced at close range. Two Booms

If the patio is covered is there a need for outdoor speakers?
I think I'd mix it down to mono as well for that setup. Nobody is
likely to hear much of a stereo image and anyone sitting close to one
of the speakers isn't going to hear all of the music. There was a
recent thread that discussed how
LRLR makes sense. I'll give that a try.

As I said at the start, the discussion about lossless digital formats is
unutterably tedious. I'll add that I don't see why any member of the forum
should, when the mindless trolls come out, be expected to justify with a CV and

Not having Flash support on iOS was the best thing Steve Jobs ever did

Well, Apple users have to use iTunes so quite a lot of them have already
experienced how much it sucks and are well willing to avoid solutions
involving it wherever possible.

I went through my music collection and decided that my whole collection
(100s of cd's) would be impractical since many of the cd's I have
outgrown over the years. Many of them are phases my wife and I went
through. All that would happen is alot of skipping over music and it

I can think of no reason why I would want lossless audio (o
