The NS10 ? Has it not some well understod fl
Yes Ethernet is isolated current loops unless you opt for shielded cat 6
then you must take care but shielded Ethernet is total overkill at home
, just don't use that .
And switches isolates further .
There migth be some capacitive leakage bla bla but that's clutching at
straws audiophile style
If someone likes i can add the sox dithernoise samples with these 50dB
for easy comparison. I am a bit unhappy with the offered original
sample because it has already shaped noise in but it should be ok.

SB3 cannot play 96Khz audio.
IIRC a few years ago, for a few revs of the firmware SB3 could accept
96kHz but
hi JJZolx, I have seen reports that the SB is very well capable of
playing 96 material. The original files are flac. The SB should be able
to natively do flac.

If anyone is in the UK and looking for a cheap linear supply I can
recommend the Digimess bench supply
the special offers are below - they have single, double and triple -
even full price they are good value at least 1/2 the price of an
audiophile one.

Yes there's RFI everywhere,

Because the SB3 doesn't support 96

Yes but there's RFI everywhere - one more wireless connection won't make
a difference surely?
Anyway - whats the lesser of two evils - directly connected to an
electrically noisy computer - or RFI (which is all around us anyway)?

Hi!
when playing 96/24 material on my SB3 I see on the server that a
downsampling to wav is performed. I wonder why and what would need to
be added/changed in convert.conf or custom-convert.conf to prevent this
conversion from happening

'RFI' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_frequency_interference) is
the reason usually stated. Many audiophiles will not operate a wireless
network in their homes for the same reason

Check the newest model of the AudioEngine A5 + s. The newly updated
model has remote.

I keep a set of A5's in my traveling system...with the SB Touch as a
source, it's a fine little speaker. Lot's of bang for the buck.

OK, but it its because of SQ, my opinion is that the A5s are not really
good enough to make it worth the effort - unless you turn it all the
way down. For normal use, I'd say the usable volume range on the Touch
allows for quite some flexibility. But it is nice to be able to
physically adjust roug
The speakers are out of reach in the bedroom/kitchen and I keep the
volume on 100% on the SBT.

Nice looking set up Jeff."Bays"...& whether they're good or not is
always going to be left up to the listening.A bigger version of the

outdoor music venues.

My requirements for powered speakers for my SBT apart from good SQ are:
1. remote control
2. auto power on/off when (no) sound
Audioengine A5 have 2 but not 1 and A5+ have 1 but not 2, am I right,
A5 owners?
Anybody knows of an alternative?
