As mentioned in the 1st post, I'm waiting for the results of my blind MP3 test... In the interim, I wondered if my measurement setup can be fooled by MP3. So, with the AUNE X1 still connected, lets run the test signal lossless vs. MP3 through and see! Summary results: 14345 Not bad! When conde

I got the AUNE X1 last year as a "portable" headphone amp / DAC. I did an AB test using this with a friend's Weiss DAC202 (massive price differential) and it sounded pretty good in comparison :-). 14334 The USB implementation is the bog standard BB PCM2707 (adaptive isochronous, only up to 16/48

Due to the better damping you also get better impulse response . You can easilly adjust for sensitivity differences making it easy to match drivers and save even more power . It's not uncommon that the tweeter is higher sensitivity a passive filter design must then use resistors in series and par

ATC preach the following benefits of active over passive: - Correction for phase is possible, which improves group delay and imaging. - Passive crossovers are designed for a response at a given input power but their response changes as input power changes, active crossovers have a stable response
