The logical endpiont is digital active speakers (actually has been since
the early 90's but audiophiles are to darned conservative ) .
:) but sadly still to few brands and price classes to make viable
options for everyone :/
I really like the idea of getting rid of the pre-amp and DAC, but there
are a couple issues for me:
* My Vandersteen Quatros require a 6 dB/octave high-pass filter between
the pre-amp and amp. I can do the filter with sox, but I'd prefer to
send a bit-perfect signal to the digital amp.

Hi Guys -- Had a SBT for years now. Really nice product. Just wondering
if anyone else has a Audio-gd DAC connected via USB. I have the EDO
installed, but the SBT doesn't recognise the DAC without a USB hub? I
was of the impression the AGD DAC'S can connect direct to the Touch. I'm
using the USB c

yeah how else to make it "different" much like NOS dac's with no or
unorthodox filter design

Albeit a small one for speaker wires thats goes away when the cross
section is large enough esential parameters are R,L
