Yes the filter less NOS DAC a very audiophile solution to the
"everything sounds the same" problem ;) ok enjoy the artifacts if you
fancy.
But as usual there are "explanations" that these things in some magical
ways really is "better" than a regular well designed DAC .
Honestly , I think we are

Hey Sckramer, cool man! A single chip version :-). I guess ya gotta save
on the power usage with batteries.
Well, I do have a 4-chip TDA
Hi Archimago,

You know that it's possible to measure the difference between two
amplifiers in terms of s/n ratio and distortion levels and type of
distortion. Maybe I can
"Directed against?" Hardly. Just a comment of recognition from the old
days...

I think this would be the classic example of an ad hominem comment.

"Audiophiles" are people too... ;)

I didn't assert it was correct, on

Wow, prickly.
Electronics do not sound the same. There, I said it. Now stop telling me
I'm deluded and show me why you aren't.
Re EQ. Fair enough. I can't be arsed, because I know that I accommodate
different tonal balances after a short while listening as I said. More
annoyed with bad mixes on

For example they can be found in some portable players. When power usage
is an issue, why waste it on useless hardware?
Furthermore, a lot of so-called 24 bit DACs perform like they are 16 (or
fewer) bit DACs front-ended
thanks for all your advice. In the end ,the used m-dac turned out not be
mint -the seller had "forgotten" to mention the ding on the front, so i
passed on that one. I think i will audition the m-dac plus in my home
and see what impressions I have
